Tom Kane

Managing Partner & Owner

Eastern University Graduate with a degree in Health Sciences where he met his wife, Joan. Tom and Joan are proud parents of three successful young adults. Tom was working in construction before he switched lanes and committed himself to opening a restaurant here in Havertown. And so, Brick & Brew made its debut in 2013. With humble beginnings and increasing popularity, Tom and partners have since expanded Brick & Brew Havertown, opened locations in Media and Malvern, transformed the first B&B location into a private events venue, built a mobile bar, and thriving catering business. There really are no limits for Tom and Brick & Brew’s devoted staff. “We’re a family, and everything we create is made with love.”


Tom has an extensive collection of sneakers, many from the late-great Kobe Bryant.


Brian Gondek

Chief Operating Officer

Born and raised in Havertown, Brian is an active and honorary member of the community with his wife Jessica, and four daughters. Brian graduated from Villanova with a degree in Business Administration and received his law degree from Widener. While practicing law as a GP, he was approached with the opportunity to get involved with something from the ground floor—Brick & Brew Gastropub. After being with the company since its inception, Brian confidently states the best part of his role at Brick & Brew is the people he works with, the team.


Two of Brian’s daughters are twins.

Gabriella Kelly

Marketing Director

Temple Graduate with a degree in Media Studies Production with a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. From Newtown Square, Gabriella has lived in three time zones and has had a vastly successful career in Marketing and Media for the last fourteen years. From climbing the ladder in Los Angeles, CA, employed as a Marketing Manager for DreamWorks Animation to working in Media and Artificial Intelligence Technology in Park City, Utah. From creation to execution, Gabriella's passions lie in the business of digital marketing, website design, branding, graphic design, social media strategy and management, public relations, and events. Gabriella joined Brick & Brew in August 2021. She’s been a huge fan of Brick & Brew since inception, both the brand and culture and is honored to be a part of the family.

Gabriella has road-tripped cross-country twice, hiking and camping at National Parks and embracing Earth’s beauty--(with her two doggos).

shelly Mckeon

regional manager


Started in the business as a busser when she was just fifteen years old and worked her way up as a host, server, wedding maître d, manager, general manager, and now the Regional Manager. “Best part of my job is I get to work with the Best staff out there!”

Shelly’s been married to her husband Andrew for fifteen years, and they love attending comedy clubs together.

Over 25 years of restaurant experience ranging from Italian, American Continental, Fine Dining, Cajun and Creole, and even Senior Living Communities. Applying Banjo’s knowledge and wide range of cuisines, he enjoys fusing classic dishes with modern techniques to bring elevated pub fare to Brick & Brew.

Mark has bowled 11 strikes in a row,
2 separate times.

kelsey jackson

beverage Director


Kelsey has been working in hospitality since she was fourteen. She started as a server at Brick & Brew in 2015 and moved up to bartending, bar managing, and assistant manager before transitioning into her role as the beverage director. 


Kelsey is an artist with a degree in art education. She has 4 cats, one of which has only 3 legs. 

leigh keithley

Events & Catering Director


Niece to the late Frank Palumbo, famous entrepreneur and owner of popular South Philadelphia’s restaurant and nightclub, Palumbo’s. At a young age, Leigh was fully immersed in the industry and
caught the bug hanging in the reservation office with her grandmother at Palumbo’s. Leigh has a degree in hotel and restaurant management and has worked in the hospitality industry since she was fifteen years old. Leigh has been at Brick & Brew for four years and couldn’t imagine working in any other profession.


At Palumbo’s Leigh spent time around Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Durante, David Brenner, Frankie Avalon, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, and Four Aces.

Joel Shaeffer

Executive Catering Chef


Education includes Degrees in Marketing, English, and the Culinary Arts. Joel was born with a passion for food. His dedication lies in cooking, training, and teaching the Culinary Arts. Ultimately, he enjoys preparing food naturally and properly and satisfying his guests. A few of Joel’s interests include gardening and house plants of all varieties


Joel likes to take and collect photos of oddly miss-shaped / disfigured fruits and vegetables as a tribute to nature’s bounty.
